The Harsin Marmerit Mine in Kermanshah is located 17 kilometers from the Bisotun road in Sararud Ghaem village. Harsin marble stones are among the carbonate rocks that, due to recrystallization from heat and pressure during metamorphism, develop a distinct crystalline texture. They contain calcite and dolomite minerals, either separately or in combination.
Harsin marble stone is a type of metamorphic and very strong stone with a hardness grade of 3. It has different color variations and is resistant to fire and erosion. The quality of processing in terms of polishing, cutting, and resin application significantly affects the price of the stone. Marble stones are among the most beautiful and widely used natural stones, and due to their capabilities and different color ranges, they are used in various parts of buildings, including interior and exterior sections and interior decoration. It is a soft stone with low abrasion resistance and is used for stair treads, building floors, flower pots, elevator frames, parking floors, commercial and residential units, and bedroom floors. The color range is white to light cream. The price of the stone depends on various factors; the lighter and more uniform the stone, the higher its price. The larger the dimensions of the Harsin stone and the more precise the cuts, the higher the price. The mine’s production includes light and dark cream marble blocks in various dimensions and tonnages.
